Online Training (OLT) is a term used to describe knowledge or theory training delivered over the Internet ("online") from a web site. This OLT web site provides knowledge and theory training in selected subjects in support of the Inside Electrical 51A Job Qualification Requirement (JQR).

Your JQR training coordinator has assigned lessons on this site for you to complete. It is assumed that you have completed the prerequisites for these assigned lessons. If you have not, please notify your JQR training coordinator.

How to use this site. Study the lessons you are assigned. They contain two kinds of links that will help you understand the topic.

The first kind of link is a WINDOW LINK. It allows you to enlarge a drawing, photograph, video clip, table, or special procedure box that enhances the text you are studying. The window link is sizeable, meaning that you can expand the window to full-screen, or keep it open but smaller, so you can see both the text and the contents of the window, if you want to. To close a window link, just click on the X box in the upper right corner.

The second kind of link is a PAGE LINK. Clicking on this link will jump you from your current lesson to the next page of the current lesson or to a page in another lesson, to provide further information about a technique or process. To exit a page link, click on the page's BACK command, a blue left-pointing arrow or icon. You can also use your browser's BACK command. Do NOT click on the X box in the upper right corner. Doing that on a page link will close your browser.

Take the self quiz at the end of the lesson. The quiz will grade your answers and provide you with the right answers. If you did not know all the answers, go back and study the part of the lesson that applies to the question(s) you missed.

When you have completed your assigned lessons, report to your JQR Training Coordinator.
